On the occasion of an award Mr.L.Morev, professor of the Moscow State University by the Laotian Order of Friendship the official receiption was held at the Embassy of Lao PDR in Russian Federation on September 3,2008. The receiption were attended by:
- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentialy of Lao PDR in Russia His Excellency Thongsavan Phomvihan
- First secretary of Lao PDR Embassy, Consul Mr. Hongkeo Suksavat
- Minister of transport and public work of Lao PDR, Chairman of the Laotian-Russian friendship society H.E. Sommath Pholsena
- Members of the Laotian-Russian friendship society and other Embassy's officials
- Professor of Moscow State University Mr.L.Morev
- First deputy chairman of the Russian-Laotian friendship sosiety, Vice president of the Russian Peace Fund, academician I.Panfilov
- The Chairman of the interparliamentary commission on ties with South-East countries Mr. Yu.Medvedev
- Section Head of Asian-Pacific region department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr.A.Borovik
- The first millitary adviser of the Soviet Embassy in Lao PDR, Deputy chaiman of Moscow region council of veterans of war, Lieutenant-General A.Gaponenko
- Member of the Russian-Lao intergovermental commission on terade and eeconomic, scientific and technical cooperation D-r N.Ustinov and other officials.
The reception was held in friendly and cordial atmosphere. The parties noted the successfull development of the bilateral relations and voiced a hope for their further strengthening.
