The European Committee on Awards and Prizes under UNO made a decision to award the Director of the Consular Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vyacheslav A. Pavlovsky in connection with his 50th Birth Anniversary with Leonadro Da Vinci medal "For services rendered to people".

For its longstanding history the Consular service of our country was headed by a number of outstanding persons, but none of them was held in such respect both in Russia and abroad as V. Pavlovsky. His outstanding international activities were marked off with this medal. The medal was presented by the First Vice-Chairman of the State Duma Committee on economic policy, business and tourism Yury G. Medvedev and Vice-Chairman of the Russian Peace Fund Prof. Igor. D. Panfilov
