In compliance with the direction of the Goverment of Russian Federation dated of February 4,2009 Chief of the State Federal Statistic department Mr.V.Sokolin has been appointed as the Chairman of the Russian part of the Intergovermental Russian-Laotian commission on trade and economic,scientific and technical
cooperation.
According to the above direction the staff of the Russian part of the commission was also asserted. Member of the Federation Council Mr.V.Fetisov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentialy of Russia in Lao PDR Mr.V.Plotnikov as well as executives of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of
economic developement, Russian-Laotian friendship Society and other departments officials formed part of
the commission. The oldest foreign trade organisation "Mezhdunarodnaya Kniga-Security Papers" (MK-SP) was also represented at the commission by General Director Dr.N.Ustinov and his deputy Mr.V.Fokin.
