Meeting of well-known "Mercury" club" the members of which are the first rate Russian economists and businessmen was held in the World Trade Center Moscow on May,18 In the network of the above ivent under the aegis of Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the leading Russian special magazine "World of stamps" the exhibition of philatelic items was organized.
The philatelic show was opened by the Chairman of Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry,academician E.Primakov, our legendary state and political figure which was always interested in the questions of culture rendering every kind of assistance in arranging of various cultural actions including particularly the extention of stamps collecting in Russian Federation.
According to the decision of the Board of National Academy of Philately academician E.Primakov was
awarded by the unique commemorative Faberge medal for the outstanding contribution to the extention to the stamps collecting in Russia. The award was presented by professor I. Panfilov, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of National Academy of Philately. Among the recipients of the award were the outstanding political figures, scientists and cultural workers .
The special cancellation of the commemorative cover devoted to this ivent was arranged after awarding ceremony.
