Meeting of the Editorial Board of the "World economic" magazine
was held on May 24,2010 in the Institute of market development of the
Russian Academy of Science in Moscow. The meeting were attended by the
chairman of the editorial board of the magazine, academician of the
Russian Academy of Science, Head of the Institute of market development,
professor N.Petrakov, Deputy Chairman of the aditorial board,Head of the
World Economic department of the Russian Academy of Economics after
G.Plekhanov, professor O. Bogomolov,economic department of the State
University of Management, Mr. S Omeljchenko, Editor-in-chief of the
economic publications department of the "Panorama" publishing house and
other well-known russian economists and public officials-members of the
editorial board. The meeting was opened by professor N. Petrakov.
Speaking to the participants of the meeting Editor-in-chief of the
economic publications department of the "Panorama" publishing house Mr.
S. Omelchenko informed the members of the work done , specified the main
questions and problems appeared within the year under getting ready of
some issues of the magazine.
The participants noted that the magazine was getting more popular
from issue to issue especially among the young economists. During the
year famous russian politics,economists and young scientists published
their articles regulary. At the same time it was noted that the foreign
economists and scientists
practically have not presented at the magazine's pages.
For further improving the situation in edition of the magazine,
possible encreasing the circulation the Editorial Board approved the
themes of future publications, members' offers for getting the magazine
up handsomely as well as steps for developing the chanals of
distribution and subscription prices for the above journal. The
Editirial Board particularly made a decision to prepare the special
magazine issue and distribute the circulation free of charge among all
russian economic universities and institutes in September this year.
