On November 30 - December 4, 2006, an International Stamp Show "MonacoPhil 2006" and ASCAT meeting were held in Monte Carlo. A Russian delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Peace Fund Prof. Panfilov attended the event. It is know that the Principality of Monaco gives wide support to collectors, including philatelists. One of the best stamp collections belongs to Monaco. The Presidium of the Russian National Academy of Philately awarded Prince Albert II with a Faberge medal under number 1. The award was presented at the Gala Night devoted to the Stamp Show opening.
