By the invitation of Mr.V.Sokolin, Chairman of the Intergovermental Russian-Laotian Commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, Head of the State Fedelal Statistic department the delegation of the National bank of Lao PDR headed by the Governer Phouphet Khamphounvong, Chairman
of the National bank was in Russia with working visit on August 21-30,2009.
Along with the attendance the Russian ministries and department concerned the Laotian delegation was acquainted with banknotes production as well as the production of special security paper at Permj
printing factory and paper making factory in St.Peterburg. The Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentialy of Lao PDR in Russia H.E.Somphoung Sichaleune also took part in high level talks as well as business trip on Russia.
Upon finishing the talks and negotiations held in a friendly and cordial atmosphere the Chairman of the above Intergovemental Commission Mr. V.Sokolin held a reception in honour of the delegation in one of the halls of TASS club.The reception was attended by our Laotian guests, representatives of Russian ministries and departments and other high ranking officials.
Laotian friends were also accepted at Russian-Laotian Friendship Society and upon finishing the fruitfull discussions the First Deputy of the Chairman of Russian-Laotian Friendship Society, academician I.Panfilov gave a dinner on the side of Moscow river vessel.
During the business trip Laotian delegation had the oppotunity to see any places of interest in Moscow, St.Peterburg and Permj region.
